The King of Fighters ALLSTAR is a ‘beat’em up’ with touches of RPG, in which we can control dozens of characters from the saga The King of Fighters (KOF). When we start playing we can choose between Terry Bogard, Ryo Sakazaki and Kyo Kusanagi, but as we play we can unlock many new characters that will join our team.
The control system of The King of Fighters ALLSTAR is perfectly adapted to touch devices. On the left side of the screen we will have the virtual ‘stick’ of movement, with which we can scroll through the three-dimensional scenarios. By touching any place on the screen we can carry out normal attacks, while to activate the special abilities we will have to use the buttons on the right.
The story mode of The King of Fighters ALLSTAR is divided into a series of interconnected levels, with more than twenty chapters in which we can discover what is happening around us. In each of these levels we will have to see each other’s faces with several normal enemies and with at least one ‘boss’. Luckily, we can take up to four characters to each level, among which we can change as we please.
The King of Fighters ALLSTAR is an excellent action game, which features an overwhelming cast of characters and an outstanding graphic section. A spectacular title, in which almost all the characters of one of the saga of fighting games known in history come together.
