It is not uncommon to see Google, Microsoft, and Mozilla looking for ways to bring new user experiences to their browsers, thus intensifying the dispute for the preference of their users and thus guaranteeing the opportunity for notable improvements in the user experience.
One of the most recent examples of this is due to the refinements that Google is in the process of implementing for its users on devices with Android embedded, following the experience of what has already been seen in 2019 for PCs, thus implementing a grid layout, replacing so the vertical display.
As you can see below, the previous layout that used to overlay guides now bets on bringing tabs displayed in a grid format, showing two pages per line, which means that the page preview is more limited than the previous one (after all, used the entire screen for display), as well as offering the possibility to group tabs in “folders”, making the interface more organized.
Another noticeable aspect in the new interface is the quick-change tab at the bottom of the screen for grouped tabs, thus allowing the user to switch between the tabs included in the group without having to activate the grid view, something that tends to give more agility to users.
The note user interface has already started to be available around the world, thanks to the availability of Chrome 88 last week, and in general, it should not require extra actions to be able to use it but if it is not, you can paste the URL in the address bar below and enable (or disable) the “Tab Grid Layout” layout.

So, what did you think of the new way of displaying guides and the offer of grouping pages? Tell us in the comments!
