Don’t Force It!
Writing on the phone is possible. But if we’re talking about a large project, such as a dissertation, your phone shouldn’t be a primary tool. Typing text on a touch screen takes much more time than keyboard typing. If you have a Bluetooth keyboard, it will substantially improve your typing speed. But what about images and graphs? A dissertation absolutely needs them, and it’s a bit tricky to make them work on the phone.
Feel free to rely on your smartphone for notes, writing, and collaborating. But it will be difficult for you to turn it into a primary tool for completing dissertations.
