Adobe XD now offers voice integration and Amazon Alexa through plugin

Adobe XDAdobe has officially announced today’s news related to its Adobe XD programming and interface development program, aimed at extending customer support by offering voice integration and compatibility with the Amazon Alexa personal assistant.

Thanks to these implementations, it will be possible to view and export voice prototypes on all devices that have the assistant, thus expanding the possibilities of development within the application.

Paul Cutsinger, head of voice design education at Amazon, said the goal behind this announcement is to enable developers and creators to have the support they need to experiment with tools they already know and use, such as XD.

“Our goal is to provide designers, developers and creators with the support they need to create great voice experiences with the tools they are familiar with. We’re excited to work with Adobe to help Adobe XD designers more easily create their Alexa skill experiences and give their vision a voice. ”

An unclear point in the announcement is how far this integration is possible, given that initially the demo was based on a visual interface (via Amazon Echo Show) but in its announcement, the company cites the line of generic form, which can mean perfect operation also in the line of speakers.
