Safe Zone is a kind of SHMUP in which, instead of controlling a spaceship or an airplane, as usual, we will control the survivor of a zombie apocalypse, which we will have to help riddle endless hordes of undead.
The Safe Zone control system is very simple and perfectly adapted to touch devices. We will just have to press the screen and slide our finger so that our character moves while shooting. In this way we will have to try to end all the zombies that will advance tirelessly in our direction. In the lower part of the screen, in addition, we will have two buttons to change weapons and another to launch grenades.
As we begin our adventure, composed of several dozen different levels, we will only have an automatic pistol. As we go above levels, however, we can unlock lots of new weapons, such as machine guns, assault rifles, revolvers, shotguns, and much more. We can also level up and improve our attributes, as long as we invest a few tickets.
Safe Zone is an excellent three-dimensional action game, which borrows the mechanics of the classic ‘shoot em ups’ and adapts it to zombie games. The game also includes some bonus phases in which we can drive a war vehicle, which are especially fun.
