Apple is expected to introduce four iPhones by 2021; two “affordable” and two high performance

Apple Apple may be planning one of the biggest changes in its history following the launch of the new iPhone 12, expected to hit the market in September 2020. According to information from South Korean newspaper ETNews, from 2021 Apple can launch iPhones twice a year.

According to the details revealed by the site, the idea would be to present four iPhone models in 2021, with the first two devices being presented during the first half of the year and the last two in the second half.

The decision would not be similar to what it is currently planning for 2020, with Apple introducing the new iPhone SE and also the new iPhone 12 in the same year. Instead, the launch of iPhones twice a year would recur every year from 2021 onwards.

In addition, it is said that the first pair would arrive in early 2021 with a 5.4-inch model and a 6.1-inch model. Toward the end of the year, Apple would launch the other two models, one with 6.1 inches and the other with 6.2 inches. All four devices would feature their OLED technology dashboards.

According to ETNews, an Apple executive said: “We are planning to develop two models in the first half of 2021 and two models in the second half of the year.” The site also states that the first two devices would arrive with relatively lower hardware, while the other two devices launched in the second half of 2021 would have more powerful specifications.

These high-performance smartphones for the second half of 2021 could already support Apple’s augmented reality and virtual reality headset, expected to be announced between 2021 and 2022.

Research firm Stone Partners suggests that Apple could already adopt new low-temperature polycrystalline oxide ( LTPO) technology screens with models from the second half of 2021. LTPO panels have low power consumption as their main differential and may offer Always On Display feature with your smartphone always locked and virtually energy-free.
