It seems strange that the mix of meat and steel that is the order of the day in the world of Cyberpunk 2077 , coupled with the decision to bet on a camera in the first person, motivate an amateur to ask CD Projekt about the possibility to implement support for virtual reality in their ambitious new project. However, the Polish study does not seem to be about the work. At least, not at the moment.
“Currently, we do not have plans [to support RV]” they respond from Twitter. Last year, CD Projekt studied virtual reality with interest : “We are observing it with interest, we tell stories, if virtual reality can help us, we will definitely take it into account.” They may not have found the right situation to tell stories yet.
Even without support for virtual reality, Cyberpunk 2077 has enough ambition to propose ” change the industry .” We’ll see how it ends up on PC, PS4 and Xbox One … at a time not yet determined.
