Galaxy Tab S7 Plus will offer 5G, new Snapdragon 865 Plus and S Pen to compete with iPad Pro

Galaxy Tab S7 PlusFollowing the numerous leaks regarding what Samsung will present at its second 2020 Unpacked event – the date of which has already been confirmed -, now the SamMobile website says it has obtained information about the hardware of the company’s powerful tablet and, as it had already been previously revealed, the new generation will offer the new Snapdragon 865 Plus chipset presented by Qualcomm this Wednesday.

According to the publication, the line will arrive with the Tab S7 and Tab S7 Plus with 11 “and 12.4” screens, respectively, but only the larger model has confirmed that its panel will be AMOLED (although it is very likely that the smaller model also adopts such technology). The resolution of the S7 Plus will be 2800 x 1752 pixels, creating a pixel density of 267 PPI.

The tablet will offer the new Snapdragon 865 Plus processor from Qualcomm and models with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage and another more powerful with 8 GB and 256 GB. Support for expansion via microSD is not confirmed.

Using only the sub-6 GHz frequency for 5G connectivity, the Galaxy Tab S7 Plus 5G will be more limited and it is possible that it will be sold in very specific markets in partnership with operators. In the United States, Verizon is likely to sell the device exclusively.

It is also said that the S7 Plus will arrive with a battery of 10,090 mAh in tabs for the 4G and 5G variants, but unfortunately without the fast charging capacity above 25W, making tablets that compete directly with it, such as the iPad Pro, win standout for having support for 35W power since 2018.

The tablet will offer two rear cameras with a 13 MP primary sensor and a 5 MP secondary sensor, in addition to an 8 MP front camera. It runs Anroid 10 with Samsung’s new One UI 2.5 interface, whose functionality is still unknown.

Samsung is planning to launch its most powerful tablet for the Android market and, thus, compete not only with other brands for the best model in its category but even with Apple, since the iPad Pro is difficult to dethrone. Still, the company must do everything to try to lead the market with the new Galaxy Tab S7 Plus.
