Growing fast! Huawei sold over 33 million smartphones on the Mate 20 and P30 lines

Huawei Huawei has long sought the leadership of the mobile market, and for this, the company has been providing several handset options that can align quality, performance, and price always below that practiced by major competitors.

This strategy has paid off, as the company recently announced that its line of flagships Mate 20 and P30 have, together, sold more than 33 million units, an incredible number even for a manufacturer that already has a good reputation in the technology market.

The information was shared by the company’s CEO, Richard Yu, during the presentation of the Mate 30 line, which took place on the morning of Thursday (19). According to him, the company tripled last year’s figures, as the company had “only” reached more than 10 million units sold on the Mate 10 line, a figure that was easily reached this year by the Y9 intermediate model in China alone.

On the slide shown during the event, it was clear that the Mate 20 family sold 16 million units and the P30 17 million line, with the P30 and P30 Pro models having less than a year of release, so that means sales volume achieved can still multiply.

It does not stop there!

In addition to smartphones, the Huawei Watch GT smartwatch also stood out during the year, reaching over 3 million units sold at just 10 months of age, and 3 months ago it had beaten 2 million smartwatches purchased by branded customers.
