Recently Xiaomi is distributing security updates for its latest devices. Some of them include the Mi 9 SE, one of the best cost benefits of the brand, which is getting something more special bonus: the new stable MIUI 11. Previously, the device had only a beta version of MIUI 11.
The new system update weighs in at 450MB with patches and enhancements for the stable MIUI 11. These include the December 2019 security package provided by Google. To check the update manually on your phone go to the Settings app and then go to About Phone > System Update. The new version is 11.0.6.0 which is dedicated to European models.
As you can see, the change list does not cite the new stable MIUI 11 version for the device, which should bring a lot of new features to the Mi 9 SE by its size. Earlier we saw these minor errors from Xiaomi when reporting what has changed in updates on devices like Mi 9T, which has supported Google Lens and more themes, but that was not on the change list.

For now, the update is coming in the European version of MIUI but should be available soon in the Global version as well. Because every update is released in batches, it may take some time for a notification to arrive on your phone if it uses this ROM.
