Nubia Red Magic 5G: photo confirms design and test demonstrates gaming power

Nubia Red Magic 5GDespite not yet having an official launch date, the new Nubia Red Magic 5G has already received certification at TENAA and had some specifications confirmed by the agency. In addition, we already know that the new smartphone gamer should be announced with Snapdragon 865 processor.

Now, everything indicates that the device is already being tested by some users. That’s because a new leak brought a picture of the device in the real world, confirming all the design details that were revealed in the certification images.

What draws the most attention in the new photo is that the Nubia Red Magic 5G has a metallic back with the combination of blue and red colors forming an X. See below that the side exposed in the image also shows an air outlet and a button to activate the silent mode:

Although not present in the photo above, the red side should contain the volume and power buttons. Now, cameras are also another interesting highlight. This is because all the sensors were grouped in a dark band that cuts the body of the device vertically.

See this rendering in high quality:

As the front part is still unknown, it is not possible to know if it will make good use of the screen. Anyway, the display of the Nubia Red Magic 5G must be a 6.5 inch OLED with a refresh rate of 144 Hz. The Snapdragon 865 processor should work with up to 16 GB of RAM (LPDDR5).

Finally, the main camera of this device has 64 MP, while the battery is 4,500 mAh and supports fast charging of up to 55W. Thus, we can say that the only detail not yet revealed is the launch price of the new Nubia Red Magic 5G.

Although not yet available on the market, the new Nubia Red Magic 5G has also undergone some tests demonstrating its processing power. The review was published by GameBench and shows that the 144 Hz screen really makes a difference.

An example is Real Racing 3, which was efficiently run by the device with a minimum frame rate of 142 fps. The games PUBG Mobile and Arena of Valor were also surprising. Although the 144 fps rate is not supported, the games performed well.

Thus, PUBG recorded a median frame rate of 90fps, with a minimum of 83fps. Arena of Valor reached 60fps satisfactorily.
