OnePlus Launcher is about to receive feature that hides apps from the home screen

OnePlusOnePlus is always updating the launcher developed to make devices from other manufacturers with the same usability enjoyed by the brand’s customers. Recently the app was updated to beta version 4.5.4, where several new features were implemented.

However, what drew attention was a feature that is not yet implemented in practice, which is the “Pure mode”, where it is possible to make the smartphone’s desktop cleaner, hiding icons that would hinder the visibility ´of those who prefer one more minimalist look.

The discovery made and shared by the developers of XDA Developers within the latest APK code shows some code strings that cite this feature, showing that it may be the next new feature to be activated by OnePlus.

It is not yet possible to know if this function will be something separate or will be part of the package of resources present in Digital Well-being, since the lack of icons on the home screen ends up influencing usability, since there will not be a constant stimulus to enter certain apps, such as social networks that take up a lot of smartphone users’ time.

Although it is not yet clear what the “Pure Mode” function will be, it is important to keep an eye out when the OnePlus Launcher leaves the beta phase for everyone to try.
