In late June, the Raspberry Pi 4 was released as a mini PC that supports 4K, up to 4 GB of RAM and low price. Now a new product based on this small machine was available for pre-order: the Pi-Top 4.
The computer picked up the structure of the Raspberry and put it in a case, with other new features like a 16 GB SD card preloaded with the pi-topOS, a power supply, an Ethernet cable, and hex key.
The goal of Pi-Top 4 is to be a product aimed at manufacturers who require mobility, such as weather balloons, drones or robots. It features 20 metal building boards and another 100 components.
“It could be a discreet rover with a camera to fit into a tiny space, a farm robot to sow or search for weeds or you could go in a completely different direction and create a robot that uses mechanical vision to sort different objects.according to color or size. “
Jesse Lozano
CEO and co-founder of Pi-Top
The mini PC also features a programmable OLED display to display information on sensor readings, CPU usage and battery life – with up to 5 hours of autonomy.
