Redmi confirmed today that it is about to launch yet another variant of the Redmi K30 in China. Called the Speed Edition, it was announced that the new device should be released in two versions, one with Snapdragon 765G and the other with Snapdragon 768G.
Until then, it was unclear whether the second option would have been a simple confirmation of a new chipset, or just a typo, but a tweet posted by user Xianjingmaoxian (@xianjingmaoxian) has just confirmed the existence of the novelty, further disclosing its specifications.
The Snapdragon 768G should be quite similar to the 765G, with higher clocks. The chip features two high-performance cores with 2.8 GHz and 2.4 GHz respectively, combined with another six low-consumption cores running at 1.8 GHz. The GPU is the Adreno 620, the same graphics unit is seen on the simplest processor, but running at 750MHz, against 625MHz in the previous version.
The tweet also states that the 768G reaches 360,000 points in Antutu, against the 300,000 in the 765G. Overall, performance gains will reach 10%, which shows that the novelty is basically a revision of the simpler model. Anyway, we will know more details on May 11, when the Redmi K30 Speed Edition will be officially announced.

It is worth remembering that this is not the only Qualcomm chipset to have its configurations leaked. Information about the Snapdragon 875, alleged successor to the current high-end chipset from the manufacturer, was released on the 91mobiles website. The use of the TSMC 5nm N5 process and the X60 integrated 5G modem would be among the main novelties of the solution.
