It was officially made available yesterday for iOS and iPadOS devices the latest version of the SwiftKey keyboard, which now has version ID 2.7.0 and stands out for officially bringing to Apple device users the possibility of voice typing and a new area in the GIF panel, called “trending”.
Speaking specifically about trending, this new option is based on user location, offering the most commonly used GIFs in the region, which in part refers to the eponymous function on Twitter, which displays country and state issues.
Check out the changelog available for the version in question:
- When you prefer to speak rather than type – we add voice typing to your SwiftKey keyboard. If you have selected English as your language option, simply tap the microphone icon to begin and dictation begins. Tip: Punctuation can be entered explicitly – for example, try saying “newline”.
- There is a new addition to the GIF panel. You can now see the top “popular” GIFs from your location.
