WhatsApp has revolutionized the way we use our cell phones to communicate, by offering a number of free tools that only require an internet connection to be used. This made it a market leader, hard to beat ( even if Signal developers think otherwise ).
In addition to text messages, another very popular feature of the platform is audio, which allows for more detailed conversations. As a way to improve this feature, WhatsApp will soon make the audio review tool available, before they are sent.
The “review” function is in development and will allow you, after recording the message, to listen to it again using the preview button before sending it.
Even if the tool has not yet been implemented, it is possible to listen to your message before sending it by doing the following trick:
- Start recording your voice message
- On both Android and iOS, multitask or go back home without interrupting the recording
- Go back to the Whatsapp conversation and you will be able to hear the message again before sending it
