Announced on Tuesday (02), the new line of Xiaomi smartphones was presented with a neat design, triple rear camera and an interesting main photosensor with an incredible resolution of 48 MP, but as the most powerful brothers CC9 and CC9 Meitu Edition adopt the model Sony IMX586, the cheap CC9e is with the IMX582. But what’s the difference, anyway?
Both IMX586 and IMX582 sensors offer extremely similar specifications: the resolution is 48MP in both, the size is 1/2 “, offer the pixels of the same size 0.8μm and the possibility to join four pixels in only one to offer the size of 1.6 μm and improve the experience in low light.
The only difference, however, remains for video recording: while the IMX586 is more powerful and can rely on 4K to 60fps video recording, the IMX582 also offers the same 4K resolution but with frames limited to 30fps.
As the processor limitation that equips the Xiaomi CC9e, Snapdragon 665, is also 4K to 30fps, then the union of the chipset with the sensor set for such a definition provides better and more stable final quality.
In addition to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 665 chipset with an eight-core processor up to 2.0 GHz, the Xiaomi CC9e features the previously mentioned triple camera with 48MP Sony IMX582 main sensor, 8MP secondary sensor with ultra-wide lens and more a 2 MP sensor for depth of field data.
The intermediate also offers 4 GB or 6 GB of RAM alongside 64 GB or 128 GB of internal storage depending on which version you choose. The battery is 4,030 mAh with fast charge and the AMOLED screen of 6 inches has HD + resolution, drop notch and ratio 19.5: 9.
